Congratulations to WCAAD Student Clarie Cui, 11 years old, for winning the California State 1st Place Award at the Global Fish Art Contest held by the Wildlife Forever.
Wildlife Forever is a nonprofit conservation charity. Its mission is to conserve America’s wildlife heritage through conservation education, preservation of habitat and management of fish and wildlife. Since 1987, Wildlife Forever has funded conservation works in all 50 states and Canada with more than 1,500 projects throughout North America. With over 55,000 entries and counting, the Fish Art Contest is the BEST way to introduce youth to conservation and the joys of fishing. Yuki Gu will be pursuing her dream at Georgia Tech majoring in architecture for Fall 2023.

On June 25, the faculty and students of West California Academy of Art and Design (WCAAD) provided voluntary service for the 2023 Thanks USA Celebration at Temple City Park.
Every year, the Academy Joins effort with IAPAC and AAAA to celebrate July 4th holiday and hold art activities including bookmark designing, coloring contest, face-painting, pin-making, etc. In addition to offering art education programs for children, the WCAAD faculty have also been continuously taking time and efforts to provide voluntary public service for the community. During the past ten years, The Principal Lei Wang, the students and the staff members have collectively contributed more than 6,000 hours to domestic and international public service Animation major Ashley McGinn will attend Art Center College of Design in the Fall 2023 with a Scholarship of $56,000!
