The annual EDI Media Children’s Drawing Contest announced the winners recently. Students from West California Academy of Art and Design won the awards with their online class art projects.  Wang Lei, the WCAAD Principal, congratulated the sibling brothers Lawrence Zhao and Lucas Zhao for winning the 1st Place. 3 students won the 1st Place awards, including Lawrence Zhao, 9 years old, Lucas Zhao, 6 years old, Isabella Liu, 3 years old. 12 students won the 2nd Place awards, including Alisa Chang, 12 years old, Victoria Wang, 7 years old, Abigail Bai, 6 years old, Heather Xiao, 6 years old, Alicia Wei, 6 years old, Amy Luo, 6 years old, Ashley Tang, 6 years old, Audrey Tao, 5 years old, Garrett Li, 5 years old, Jayden Cao, 5 years old, Joey Zheng, 5 years old, Verna Liu, 5 years old. 6 students won the 3rd Place awards, including Eric Chang, 1 years old 0, Albert Tang, 6 years old, Kevin Jiang, 6 years old, Caden Vuong, 6 years old, Ethan Formin, 5 years old, Jacob Formin, 5 years old. 7 students won Outstanding awards, including Weixi Liu, 10 years old, Angela Chen, 6 years old, Louis Zhang, 6 years old, Milton Huang, 6 years old, Abigail Lee, 5 years old, Evan Wang, 5 years old, Terra Huang, 5 years old, Eason Xue, 4 years old, won the Best Composition award, and Mina Xu, 6 years old and Sherry Li, 6 years old won the Color Vibrancy awards. This year’s theme is “Live Healthy, Live Happy.” Children from the age groups of 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 years old in Southern California are invited to participate and encouraged to draw in their originality, creativity and ideas for enjoying life amid the COVID-19 epidemic. The WCAAD faculty and teachers have prepared online lessons that are accessible at home and nurturing to students. As long as you have Internet access, you can register the online art classes for your children right away.
