Come join the San Gabriel Police Department in celebrating National Night Out in the Historic Mission District, located at 320 South Mission Drive on Aug 1, 2023. The entire community is invited to gather for an evening of food, music, and fun, including public safety displays and various activities for children. Members of the Military, Police & Fire Department and other City leaders will also be participating in the event.
We will help raise funds for K-9 Bentley and K-9 Edy (the two police dogs of San Gabriel Police Department) by holding a charity sale of our students’ original artworks, and donate the high-resolution copies to the San Gabriel Police Department. National Night Out culminates annually on the first Tuesday in August. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out was introduced in August of 1984 through an already established network of law enforcement agencies, neighborhood watch groups, civic groups, state and regional crime prevention associations and volunteers across the nation. The first annual National Night Out involved 25 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.
