West California Academy of Art and Design Successfully Held Rancho Cucamonga Branch Open House1/16/2019 WASC Accredited West California Academy of Art and Design Rancho Cucamonga Branch successfully held an Open House on January 13, 2019. The Open House activities included official school presentations and seminars on children’s art training program; free trial classes including creative drawing, handcraft, and sketching, etc.; a talk on education in the art and design and trending advancements in the fields for concerned parents and students; talk to art instructors; art workshops, class demonstrations and award-winning artwork exhibitions and gallery show. “The goal for the open house is to familiarize potential parents and students with the Academy’s diverse programs that are general and specialized, answering questions for students who are curious on how to proceed and have a fruitful experience in the Academy at any level.” Lei Wang, the President of the Academy, said. “With almost thirty years in development, our art training program is leading in preparing children and youth to seek and transform, both as artists, and as creative individuals.” Ms. Wang said that the Academy’s well-rounded curriculum integrates advanced international concepts, current trends in art and design, and unique teaching methods, placing emphasis on creativity. “We focus on developing students’ problem-solving skills and critical approaches through inspirational projects.” Through the Academy’s fundamental core in art and design, students not only improve their aesthetics, temperament and creativity, but also their capability of turning creative ideas into finished works. “Whether students simply have an interest in art, or would like to learn more about art careers, our unique art curriculum provides a breadth of knowledge necessary for facing a shifting future and setting them up for a life of growth and success.” Ms. Wang said. Ms. Wang said she was touched by the warm welcome from Rancho Cucamonga community and parents. “Many students and parents told me that they had been waiting for us to open a branch in Rancho Cucamonga for long time.” Ms. Wang said. Based in San Gabriel, California, West California Academy of Art and Design is widely recognized as one of the most professional children’s and youth art education institutions across the Southern California. Catering to community needs, the Academy opened its Yorba Linda Branch, San Dimas Branch, Rancho Cucamonga Branch and Ontario Branch.
