West California Academy of Art and Design Students Sweeping 13 Award Categories at 2018 Fitness Day and Health Fair Drawing Contest

Every year students from West California Academy of Art and Design take active part in Rosemead Fitness Day and Health Fair Children’s Drawing Contest, a contest celebrating the importance of creativity and healthy lifestyle expressed through art.  In 2018 contest with the theme of “Healthy Living,” “Protect the Environment” and “Water-in-Motion,” the Academy’s young artists swept 13 award categories including the most prestigious Congressional Award and Senate Award. ​

2 students from West California Academy of Art and Design  won 27th Congressional Award，4 students won 49th Assembly District Award，5 students won County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, 1st District Award，5 students won 39th Congressional Award，4 students won 22nd Senate District Award，5 students won California State Treasurer Award，6 students won U.S. Senator Award，6 students won U.S. Senator Award(K.D.H.)，4 students won Rosemead Mayor Award，2 students won Rosemead Park & Recreation Award，2 students won The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station Award，1 student won Rosemead Chamber of Commerce Award，5 students won Rosemead Sister City Award，3 students won Outstanding Award.

Established in 1996, West California Academy of Art and Design（WCAAD） strives to offer only the highest level of art education for the community. Since July 6th, 2017, West California Academy of Art and Design has officially become the Supplementary Education Center/Program Fully Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Based in San Gabriel, California, West California Academy of Art and Design is widely recognized as one of the most professional children’s and youth art education institutions across the Southern California.
