Monday--Friday: 8:00am--6:00pm

The syllabus of the intensive training program follows the Academy’s standard core curriculum.

Four Category groups available:

The Children’s age group (4-7 yrs) focuses on creativity and hands-on experience. Courses include Creative Drawing, Paper Art, Clay, Printmaking, Sketch & Imagination, Color Cultivation, Contour Drawing, Oil Pastel, Mixed Media.

The junior age group (8-11 yrs) focuses on experimentation and material and skill development.  Courses include Creative Drawing, Beg. Sketching, Printmaking, Contour Drawing, Ink Drawing, 3D Drawing, Ink Drawing & Color, Appreciation/Studio.

The senior age group (12-18+ yrs) targets general and advanced art, design and digital classes, including Sketching, Painting, Perspective, Production Design, Entertainment Design/Animation, Hand Building, Charcoal, Architecture, Transportation Design, Digital Art.

Portfolio preparation classes focus on creative portfolio for supplemental, high school, college or college transfer. (100% First-tier College Admission Rate---students from 2017-18 Portfolio Preparation Class of West California Academy of Art and Design have been accepted into their dream colleges with impressive scholarships!)
