WCAAD students won Senate and Congressional awards in the 2022-23 Rosemead Fitness Day and Health Fair Children’s Drawing Contest with themes of “Healthy Living,” “Protect the Environment” and “Water-in-Motion.” 8 students won the 27th Congressional Award. Shunshun Xie, 15 years old, Water-in-Motion Irene Xue, 11 years old, Water-in-Motion Diana Li, 10 years old, Protect Environment Jason Zhang, 10 years old, Water-in-Motion Kenny Xu, 12 years old, Water-in-Motion Alen Fazlic, 8 years old, Protect Environment Jaycee Zhao, 9 years old, Protect Environment Lucas Bi, 6 years old, Protect Environment 9 students won the 22nd Senate Award. Zhuyun (Yuki) Gu ,17 years old, Protect Environment Jenny Guan, 16 years old, Water-in-Motion Felicia Dong, 17 years old, Water-in-Motion Ashley McGinn, 17 years old, Healthy Living Sophia Zhu, 17 years old, Healthy Living Vicky Wang, 11 years old, Water-in-Motion Brian Chang,10 years old, Water-in-Motion David Wang, 8 years old, Protect Environment Jayden Liu, 8 years old, Protect Environment As one of the major sponsors for the annual Health Fair Art Contest, Ms. Lei Wang, the WCAAD Principal, has been taking every effort in promoting the activity and encouraged her students and other children from the community to join the contest every year during the past decade, giving children opportunity to learn knowledge of environment protection and healthy living.
