Wearing masks and winning awards! WCAAD students won the California State Treasurer Award, the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, 1st District Award, and the Rosemead Mayor Award in the 2021 Rosemead Fitness Day and Health Fair Children’s Drawing Contest with themes of “Healthy Living,” “Protect the Environment” and “Water-in-Motion.” 9 students won the California State Treasurer Award: Yue Long, 18 years old, Water-in-Motion; Shannon Liu, 13 years old, Protect Environment; Zixiao Jia, 13 years old, Protect Environment; Venita Ye, 10 years old,Healthy Living; Cici Wang, 9 years old,Water-in-Motion; Jayden Li, 8 years old, Protect Environment; Clarissa Cheng, 8 years old,Healthy Living; Sheldon Zhang, 6 years old,Water-in-Motion; Oriana Zhou, 6 years old, Protect Environment. 7 students won the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, 1st District Award: Yuheng Li , 12 years old, Protect Environment; Zoe Sun, 11 years old, Protect Environment; Celia Lao , 10 years old, Protect Environment; Jason Zhang, 9 years old, Protect Environment; Chloe Biak, 7 years old, Protect Environment; Evan Wang, 6 years old, Protect Environment; Wendy Wang, 6 years old, Protect Environment. 9 students won the Rosemead Mayor Award: Tianyi Jin, 15 years old, Protect Environment; Irene Xue ,13 years old,Protect Environment; Isabella Yuan, 11 years old, Protect Environment; David Sun, 10 years old, Protect Environment; Jayden Li ,8 years old,Protect Environment; Emma Fung, 7 years old, Healthy Living; Michelle Huo, 7 years old, Water-in-Motion; Wendy Wang,6 years old,Protect Environment; Tiffany Lin ,6 years old,Water-in-Motion. All the winning artworks were produced by students during the time when they were taking WCAAD online art classes. The art training program offered by West California Academy of Art and Design is the Supplementary Program Fully Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The academy's students produce exceptional art for their age and it has achieved a reputation as “the children’s art school with most art contest winners,” as well as students achieving 100% admittance to their perspective colleges.
