WCAAD Students “Join” the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics with Their Artworks

The 100-day countdown to the Winter Olympics has begun. The winners of the Colorful Imagination of Ice and Snow, Best Wishes for the Winter Olympics--International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition (Los Angeles) was released on Oct. 23, 2021. Students from West California Academy of Art and Design received multiple awards.

To spread the Olympic spirit and promote international cultural and art exchanges among youth, Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Beijing Olympic City Development Association, China National Children’s Center, China National Film Museum, and Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges jointly hosted the Colorful Imagination of Ice and Snow, Best Wishes for the Winter Olympics--International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition, under the guidance of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Media and Communications Department of Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and China Center for International People-to-People Exchange.

Themed on “Best Wishes for the Winter Olympics, Colorful Imagination of Ice and Snow – Meeting in Beijing for a Shared Future”, the invitational exhibition aims to popularize knowledge about winter sports, express young people’s best wishes and aspirations for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and interpret the motto of the Beijing Winter Olympics – “Together for a Shared Future”.
