Congratulations to WCAAD student Tiffany Sun on her acceptance to UC Berkeley-Computer Science! Additional Colleges accepted include: Purdue UC Irvine UC Santa Barbara UC San Diego Amherst College Over these past two years Tiffany Sun has grown immensely both personally and artistically. Through our portfolio program, in a very short time, she has built skills, understanding and applied societal issues into her artwork. Tiffany has been a stellar student with her enthusiasm and resilience to carry all projects to quality level. She is a great motivator and set an example for many supplemental students. Tiffany explored many Art and Design projects that showcased her capabilities and critical analyses. Tiffany has had the opportunity to be active in competing with her art as well; “Celebrating Art Books” in which one of her art pieces was featured in and Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach 2nd Place in 2-D Art., In 2020 she received a Scholar and Writing Silver Key (Regional). Other note-worthy achievements include; Northwood Odyssey of the Mind. Her Academics have been impressive maintaining a GPA of 4.1176 (weighted), 4.0000 (non-weighted) for all 4 years and taken 9 Aps with score of 4’s and 5’ s achieving AP Scholar with Distinction, and, AP with WE Service Recognition. She has balanced her priorities but at the same time gave back to her community. Her community service include assistant at UCLA Gay Crooks Medical Lab for 70 hours, volunteering at Discovery Cube, given presentations about cyber safety to senior centers and member of Cybersecurity Club. She volunteered at Heritage Park Library for Origami Club, Spanish Club Movie Nights and Food Banks, and helping with voting registration at Asian American Advocacy Alliance and raising funds for cancer research at Youth Action Team’s Relay for Life Tiffany has been an active member of organizations such as, Cyber security Club, Gold Tier, National Cyber League Spring 2019 Game, Origami Club (10th-12th grade), Publicity (11th grade), Vice President. She has been playing the Violin in Symphonic Orchestra, as the First violin Second chair. Tiffany is also part of Spanish Club, California Scholarship Federation and Dance reaching Semi-Finals Huntington Beach 2nd Place for Ensemble. In 2018, YAGP Finalists Los Angeles for Ensemble, 2017 KAR High Point Award, Top Secondary Small Group, 2nd Place, Judges Choice Complete Commitment. 2018 Showstoppers Anaheim II Advanced Teen (Small Ensemble). Chinese American Political Action Committee Song Zhu Mei Scholarship Tiffany is a natural leader and is always first to delve into her assignments evidence outside the class is in her private endeavors. As of today, she has gained 200 hours of restorative Yoga as an approved alliance instructor. I see her giving back to her future school and to being a productive agent that will represent her scholarly and personal achievements for those who support her. We wish her well as her of her future is bright.
