WCAAD Now Offering Online Intensive Art Classes for 2021 Summer

​West California Academy of Art and Design Now Offers 2021 Summer Children’s Online Art Class and Portfolio Online Intensive Program from June 14 to August 20, 10 Weeks, Monday--Friday: 9:00am--5:30pm (Portfolio Preparation Class 9:00am--7:00pm). 4 Locations: San Gabriel, Yorba Linda, San Dimas, Rancho Cucamonga, enrollment now open!

​Summer Courses and Workshops are designed to give students an equal measure of traditional art skills and spontaneous creative experiences. The syllabus of the Summer program follows the Academy’s standard core curriculum. In addition, WCAAD’s 10-week summer schedule gives students a rigorous and unmatchable concentrated experience in Art and Design.

Four category groups available:
 
Children Beginner Art Courses (3-5 years old)
​

​Courses include: Understanding of dots, lines, shapes, black and white line drawing, crayon drawing, mixed crayon and watercolor, pointillism, abstract painting, self-portrait, animal paintings, figure paintings, cartoons, arts and craft, foiled dolls, origami, etc. Art appreciation includes pop art, abstract painting, impression painting and so on.
 
Children’s Creative Drawing Courses (6-8 years old)
 

​Courses include: Association and creation, proposition painting, memory painting, painting diary, color practice, watercolor, pen line drawing, black and white decoration, color pencil drawing, oil pastel, mixed material painting, abstract painting, portrait painting, environmental art, cartoon, collage, Mosaic Art, Art Appreciation including Pop Art, Abstract Painting, Impression Painting, etc.
 
Transitional Courses (9-11 years old)
 

Courses include: Space recognition, 3D-modeling, Principles of Design, composition, still life paintings, figure paintings, animal paintings, landscape paintings, pen paintings, water-soluble color pencil paintings, pastel paintings, illustrations, colorful dot paintings, comic creation, markers Rendering, product design, car design, iPad Drawing, cartoon, interior design, Art appreciation includes Pop art, abstract painting, impression painting and so on.
 
PORTFOLIO PREP/Advance Teen Art Courses (12-18+)
 

​Courses Available: Fashion Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, Game and Entertainment Design, Life Drawing, Perspective theory, color theory, sketching, charcoal sketching, color lead drawing, pastel drawing, anatomy, illustration, acrylic painting, pen drawing, animation, cartography , interior design, art theory, mixed media, pattern and design, mosaic, character design, interaction design, digital art, Art appreciation including Pop art, abstract painting, impression painting and so on.
 
Note: Course arrangements may be slightly adjusted based on specific situations.
 
WCAAD summers are magical times, as children ages 3-18+ immerse themselves in the arts—collaborating with many of the same extraordinary teaching artists who are professionals, dedicated and experienced providing excellent art education. With multiple sessions to choose from, children have an opportunity to play, explore, and experience all at home through the online classes.
