THE PORTFOLIO PREPARATION INSTRUCTORS OF WEST CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF ART AND DESIGN

Portfolio Preparation Courses are taught by West California Academy of Art and Design (WCAAD) faculty who consider the college’s admissions and requirements when structuring assignments. Providing you with competent skills level for college, they will guide you into the right path and plan for each individual’s needs. ​

Omar Gallegos holds a Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master’s degree of Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design. He has teaching experiences at Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center, Vision 21 Art and Design and College Prep, Pasadena Art School, Stanton University, etc.  Currently he is Vice Principal/Portfolio Prep Counselor of West California Academy of Art and Design. His portfolio class has 100% admission rate for US top-tier art colleges.

Vincent Robbins is the tenure professor of Art Center College of Design. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design with a Bachelor Degree in Art with Distinction and went on to design projects for Charles Eames, Herbert Rosenthal and Louis Danziger. He became Head of Design for LACMA, where he began a lifelong friendship with James Lee Byars. He was awarded "The Great Legacy Award" by the Art Center College of Design, only two of theses awards had been given since it was founded in 1930. ​

Roman Ineguez is the adjunct professor of Industrial Design at Art Center College of Design. He has a Bachelor’s degree of Science from Art Center College of Design in Transportation Design, and a Master’s degree of Science from Art Center College of Design in Industrial Design. He has over 10 years experience as an Automotive Designer/Stylist for various auto companies including General Motors Corporation, Fisker Automobiles, Boombang.

Jack Sy holds a Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design in Illustration/ Entertainment Design.  He has rich experience in art and design field as concept artist, illustrator, packaging designer, product designer, graphic designer as well as art instructor.

Nevena Prijic holds a Bachelor’ degree of Fine Arts and a Master’s degree of Fine Arts from Academy of Fine Arts, Novi Sad, Serbia. She had 12 solo art exhibitions in New York, Paris, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, etc. and 22 group art exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Florence, Budapest, Sentandre, Belgrade, New Belgrade, Kovin, Novi Sad, Cacak, etc .

As the Honorary President of WCAAD, Mr. Wang Shouzhi gives reputable lectures on Art Education at the Academy every year.

Mr. Wang Shouzhi is a world famous design theorist.  Currently he is the tenure professor of Art Center College of Design and visiting professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, China. Many of his publications on design have become textbooks and references in various China art and design colleges and universities.
