Student from West California Academy of Art and Design Won Doodle4Google California State 1st Place


Eric Chang, 7 years old, won California State 1st Place in the national Doodle4Google contest.
Doodle4Google is an annual contest open to students in grades K-12. Students are invited to create their own Google doodle for the chance to have it featured on the Google homepage. 2016’s theme is “What I see for the future."
Under the Sea
It would be a colorful world under the blue sea: High rise buildings, cars, boys and girls coexist with submarines and a variety of living sea creatures. What a dynamic and beautiful scene I can imagine, it would be our ideal playground for me in the future.


From crayons to clay, graphic design, or even food, young artists can utilize any materials to bring their creation to life. Like all Google Doodles, each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o-o-g-l-e. 
The National Winner will have his or her doodle featured on the U.S. Google.com homepage for one day. He or she will receive: A $30,000 college scholarship；A $50,000 Google for Education grant for his or her school；A trip to the Google Headquarters in California to meet the Google Doodlers, and the opportunity to nominate a teacher to come on the trip；A Chromebook；An Android table.
The four National Finalists who do not become the National Winner will have their doodles featured in the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each National Finalist will receive: A $5,000 college scholarship；A trip to the Google Headquarters in California to meet the Google Doodlers；An Android tablet.
The 48 State and Territory winners who do not become National Finalists will have their doodles included in the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each State and Territory Winner will receive An Android tablet.
