The 1st International Youth Art and Technology Competition held an award ceremony in San Diego on March 20, 2019. 7 students from West California Academy of Art and Design won the contest. The winners were selected from entries for the Creativity category with the theme of Our Future World. Innovation = Art x Technology + Social Responsibility. The art and technology competition was held based on the belief that creativity is the key for the survival of the next generation. Creativity has the power to transform, improve, and revolutionize. “Art training programs act as a catalyst for children’s creativity,” Lei Wang, the Principal of West California Academy of Art and Design, said, “art education prepares children to grapple with the complexities of the world, to thrive in their future lives. ” Ms. Wang believes that training in the arts is training for everything important, building up the stepping-stone for our youth to reach their full potential.
