32 Students from West California Academy of Art and Design Won 2019 Paint the Future Art Contest10/24/2019 The 2019 Paint the Future Art Contest Award Ceremony was held by Chinese Institute of Engineers-SoCal on October 12. 32 students from West California Academy of Art and Design won the contest. This year’s contest theme is “How Would You Recycle Water?” The contest opened to students of TK-5 Grade. WCAAD 1st Place winners include: Ruijie Yang (TK), Clarissa Cheng (K), Sheldon Shi (1st Grade), Eliana Chung (2nd Grade), Angie Li (3rd Grade), Eric Chang (4th Grade), Alisa Chang (5th Grade). 2nd Place winners include:Simon Su (TK), Ashley Tang (TK), Symone Nicole Teng (K), Jacob Yang(K), Aileen Yue Feng (1st Grade), Roy Liang (1st Grade), Megan Cheng (2nd Grade), Wynnston Ma (2nd Grade), Stella Fang (3rd Grade), William Wang(5th Grade). 3rd Place winners include:Chloe Zhao (TK), Albert Tang (TK), Amy Luo (TK), Kaylie Lin (K), Angela Yu (K), Emma Fung (K), Ethan Gao (K), Lucas Zhao (1st Grade), Eason Feng (1st Grade), Jacob Yang (1st Grade), Eason Liang (2nd Grade), Ethan Chen (2nd Grade), Jessica Sun (2nd Grade), Rene Xu (2nd Grade), Alexandra Wang (4th Grade). Found in 1917, Chinese Institute of Engineers – USA (CIE-USA) is a non-profit professional organization of Chinese-American engineers, scientists and other professionals. The objectives of CIE-USA are to promote Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) in all communities across United States and provide recognitions to the APA professionals at the national level. Since 2017, Chinese Institute of Engineers-SoCal has been hosting Paint the Future children’s art contest annually themed innovative thinking on better living of the future. The program aims to introduce engineering cogitation in earlier age and incorporate irresistible art work to present engineering ideas.
