26 Students from West California Academy of Art and Design Win 2019 Ranch Market Mother's Day Gift Card Design Contest

99 Ranch Market hosted an award ceremony on May 19 to announce Mother's Day Gift Card Design Contest winners. 26 students from West California Academy of Art and Design (WCAAD) won various awards. ​

Cindy Cui, 12 years old, won TAWA Charitable Foundation Special Prize with a scholarship of $300. ​

Shannon Liu, 11 years old, from WCAAD Yorba Linda Branch, won Grand Prize for the 9-13 Age Group.

WCAAD Outstanding Award winners include: Alice (Muqi) Zhang，Angela Pan，Ada Yao，Ariston Zhong，Brian Li，Clarissa Cheng，Donny Gao，Ethan Chen，Eason (Mingyi) Feng，Kevin(Gengtai) Li，Ivory Liu，Jaylen Lin，Jeremy Wang，Rose Pan，Scott Wang，Stella Min Fang，Venita Ye，Weixi Liu，William Liu，Sarah Liu（Yorba Linda Branch ），Michelle Huo（Yorba Linda Branch），Hannah Zhou （San Dimas Branch ）, Xin Yu (Alina) Chi（Rancho Cucamonga Branch）, Daniel Luo（Rancho Cucamonga Branch）.    ​

To bring kids' imaginations and celebrate 2019 Mother’s Day, this drawing contest called for children to design Tawa gift card for the year of 2020. ​

Children from the age groups of 4-8 and 9-13 years old in Southern California, Nevada, and Texas are invited to participate and encouraged to draw in their originality, creativity and love for family. ​

The criteria of judging include creativity, color, the techniques of the drawing, and how related the content is to the themes of the contest. ​
