13 Students from West California Academy of Art and Design Win 2018 “I Love the Sport” Children's Drawing Contest

The annual EDI Media Children’s Drawing Contest announced the winners on July 7, 2018. 13 students from West California Academy of Art and Design won the awards. ​

​Eric Chang, 8 years old, won the 1st Place

​3 students won the 3rd Place awards, including:

Eric Song, 9 years old

Rain Shi, 5 years old

9 students won Outstanding Awards, including:
Brian Li, 4 years old

Michael Sun, 5 years old

Melanie Zhang, 7 years old

Sophia You, 8 years old

Madison Ho, 7 years old

Alessia Chen, 8 years old

Cynthia Chao, 8 years old

Ella Chan, 10 years old

Jenna Vuong, 9 years old

The drawing contest has been held annually for 18 years.  This year’s theme is “I love the Sport.” Children from the age groups of 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 years old in Southern California are invited to participate and encouraged to draw in their originality, creativity and love for sports.  The criteria of judging include creativity, color, the techniques of the drawing, and how related the content is to the themes of the contest. ​

Students from West California Academy of Art and Design take active part in the contests and win awards every year at the contest.
