Every day we face different children, and each child is different. A good art teacher can stimulate the interest in art for children who don’t like drawing or fear to draw. Instructed properly, children can even produce exceptional artworks beyond their age. "---- WCAAD Principal Ms. Lei Wang We encourage our students to participate in art contests. The message our educators here give students is that just as you strive for excellence in art, you must try your best in everything you do. Being creative and being able to learn are lifelong skills and can be used in everyday situations. The creative skills children have learned also apply to other subjects, increase self confidence and build a strong foundation for higher studies and future careers. Toddler Scribbling: a child is mentally able to use symbols to represent reality by 18 months, able to hold a marker and scribble on paper. While they may not have intended to draw an apple or grapes, the scribbles suggest the shapes because children interpret rather than intend. Toddlers are interested in scribbling which provides sensory enjoyment and helps the young child improve muscle coordination as well as exercise cognitive abilities. At the ceremony of Ms. Lei Wang’s 50 Years Commitment in Art Education on Jan 8, we will provide gift bags for the children attending the ceremony. Two packages available: #1 for the younger age, and #2 for the older kids. Both have 36-color Bianyo markers, Bianyo sketchbook and painting toolkit. The ceremony will also have a Raffle and Prize time and 30 lucky guests will get the prizes. Gentle Reminder-- Please register in advance with the child's name, age and phone number. The gift bags are limited, so that we need to assure all the registered children get the gifts. Please understand that children won’t receive the gift bags on the day if you haven’t registered their names and info in advance. Please arrive before 1:00pm for the gifts pickup. We will stop giving gift bags after 1:00pm. The number of gift bags are limited, please make sure to register in advance, thank you! Please RSVP by Tel: 626-558-7777 Email: myarteducation@gmail.com |
